Description:  This layer depicts the service area boundaries of electric utilities in Oregon.  We have used data from the utilities and online maps to compile this data layer.  We are aware that service territories can overlap and we have noted that in certain areas when we find GIS data that confirms the overlap.  Despite our best efforts to keep this data up to date, this layer should not be used to make critical decisions unless the data has been ground verified.  At this time we update this layer 2-3 times per year as we get new information.  If you are aware of an issue with this data, please contact Jim Gores at jim.gores@energy.oregon.gov.
